This is me!
My name is Lei. I emigrated from Thailand to US 13 years ago. I came to United States to continue my education in Food Science and to develop my professional network in science community. I went to Texas (Texas A & M University) for my MBA and Masters in Food Science and then I moved to North Carolina (North Carolina State University) to pursue my PhD. After 3 1/2 years in the program, I left NC with my ABD “All But Dissertation”. I moved again to Reston, VA. My love of life science has brought me to the Asia Life Science Council.
The Asia Life Science Council is a rapidly growing online professional network established to enhance communication and knowledge sharing among life scientists in the Asian region. My blog is published as a tool for my thoughts about scientist around Asia Pacific and invite your comments for discussion.
The topics closest to my heart are microbiology, food safety, cooking, books, art and music. In my free time, I love to cook. I like to learn new recipe from around the world. My favorite food is Kimchi, especially for my husband. He eats it everyday. If you visit our place, you might think we were Korean! I have many friends from many countries, like Indonesia, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and etc. My last roommates are from the Philippines, Taiwan, and Eastern EU. In addition to this blog, I connect with my friends and colleagues via Facebook, MySpace, and hi 5. I love to communicate online- even my dog (Dupree) has his own blog at dogster.com. But that’s enough about Me for now!!!
